FINFO WARS (2024)
FINFO WARS is a satirical look at the modern climate of right-wing pundits and conspiracy theorists who aim to create harmful false divisions for their own ends.
The film was created as part of my MA in Animation at the University of the West of England and comprises of puppetry, stop-motion and 2D cutout animation to create a chaotic visual feast of factually questionable(?) content!
Both puppets were made from silicone and had removable flippers for extra expression. The set and props were built to simulate a TV studio on three different scales.
Close up of Foamy Bubbles, the main antagonist! Foamy was first sculpted in clay, then cast in jesmonite and built up in layers of silicone to create a flexible but durable hand puppet with lovely, rubbery dolphin skin. Don't forget that vaseline sheen for his big, innocent (scheming) eyes.
